Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish native singer. Her birth date was 25 December 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name used by her parents. Lennox was admitted to the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 70s, where she took flute lessons and harpsichord for three years. Lennox was able to live by surviving on a student stipend, while working part time jobs. Lennox decided to change her profession after she became dissatisfied by her inexperience and lack of talent comparison with the other Royal Academy students. Lennox began her career in the year 1976, when she joined the band Dragons Playground. She quit the band prior to New Faces, the I.T.V. talent competition. She was the lead singer in The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977 to 1980. The band was where she made friends with Dave Stewart and together they formed their duo Eurythmics. Lennox was then able to begin work on her debut solo album Diva and it was released around 1992. It became a huge success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs Six solo album was released in the month of October 2014. is Nostalgia Lennox. This C.D. Lennox selected her favorites soul jazz blues tracks from childhood. Lepidoptera was released by Lennox on the 19th of May 2019. It is a collection comprised of four songs composed by Lennox. The E.P. is the companion album for her installation of art in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled"Now I'll Let You Go...
