Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. She was born August 5th 1956 at Woodland Hills California. Her father was a teacher and her mom was a domestic worker. She has three older brothers: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick began dancing and singing in her early years and frequently performed show-like puppets in front of children in her area. When she was just 6, McCormick won her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley competition. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called McCormick to inquire whether she was looking to pursue a career in showbusiness. McCormick was chosen to play in her debut major part in 1964, in an tv commercial featuring Mattels latest doll Baby Pattaburp. She subsequently starred as Chatty Cathy in a commercial and was then cast for Wind It up and It's Broken by The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, who was selected from over 1200 auditioning children to play the older of three two-headed daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969), starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show lasted for five years. McCormick's memoir Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was released in the year 2008. In it she revealed the fact that McCormick was close to losing her virginity while on set of the series during the fifth season when it was played by Barry Williams. At the time, she was 16 and he was 19. This would have occurred as she describes. The timing of our romance was not right.
