Annette O'Toole spent her childhood in the Houston studio, which was managed by mother. At the young age of 2 she made her first appearance on television, as a child on the Don Mahoney Kids Trooper Show. After ten years in dancing and singing the mother of her child and she went to L.A. to try and see if a show business career was possible. In less than two weeks, she was offered her first pay job. performing for the Danny Kaye Show with Danny Kaye. She claims that she's utilized her dancing and singing abilities in a variety of ways. "The discipline you get from these classes is a huge benefit for actors." O'Toole's first role as a character in My Three Sons was followed by appearances in Gunsmoke and The Mod Squad. She also appeared on Hawaii Five-O, The Mod Squad, The Partridge Family. Through the years, she's played in more than 40 series For all her success both in the world of television and film O'Toole's greatest passion is the theatre. After her run of six years on Smallville ended, she decided to devote her time to theater that's what she's been doing over the last decade. She moved to New York and her first audition resulted in her being part of The Sea Gull. She has appeared in several off-Broadway productions, among them Adam Rapp's Kindness Tracy Letts' Man from Nebraska and Tennessee Williams' A Lovely Sunday for Creve Couer.
